A tree only has so many leaves to shed; and, they don't all fall off of the tree at once. It is a gradual process lacking any regularity. Some days the ground under the tree is bare. Some days a few leaves fall, some days a lot. I'm finding that my ovaries are a little like those trees in autumn (and my sisters in perimenopause are finding the same). It is admittedly trying at times.
The hormonal changes associated with perimenopause and menopause are normal; but, they're not easy to deal with. Sleeplessness, hot flashes, and irritability will pass; but, what about the other physical changes that are associated with menopause?
What you might hear less and worry more about are the lasting effects of the decrease in hormones: slower metabolism, osteoporosis, loss of muscle tone, incontinence, and loss of libido.
Here's where we're going to wander down this path you see before you into the trees for just a minute - I promise we'll find our way back!
I've recently been challenged by the fabulous group of women in my Mastermind Group to really think about the WHY behind my business venture. It's tougher than you may think to come up with the real motivation for putting it all out there on the line. It is buried deep (for all of us in the group), and when it comes down to the fine point of really articulating it, it feels a little like an archeological dig; grids around the main site, and tiny exposed bits of the treasure you're seeking poking up from the dirt. There you sit with your little brush, dusting off the tops and working your way around the edges of something you hope will turn out to be GRAND. And then suddenly, the little bits begin to take shape and you realize that you've unearthed your prize!

And as a side note - I want ownership of health for men and women of all ages! It's just that I've found that:
- Like speaks to like. I'm a woman and I know that it is like to be one.
- Women seem more receptive to this mode of moving and the change it requires.
- The way to get men more interested in this is through the women that they love.
